The Hanover Street School Drama Club, known as the Red Hot Firecrackers, has been performing since 2001. Students meet together after school with a pretty demanding schedule to produce musical versions of such favorites as Cinderella, Oliver Twist, At the Hop, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Tom Sawyer, Bugsy Malone, Rock, and Twisted Tales (a collection of tales with a twist). Since we do not have a stage at Hanover
Street, we continue to be fortunate enough to have the use of the Lebanon Opera House and the expertise of technology director, Ken Munsey. The show's performers will be limited to grades 4-6. This will give third graders a chance to see a performance before making a commitment to this program next year. This year's performance, Bugsy Malone, will be on May 7th at the Lebanon Opera House. Performances will be at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. |
